A good night's sleep is an undisturbed sleep, but because babies are unable to regulate their own body temperature, they need a helping hand. This is where Nordic Sleep's baby duvet and pillow come in, with both pillow and duvet filled with the unique Fossflakes, which are breathable and quick-drying. Our baby duvet measures 70 x 100 cm, which is arguably the most common size for baby duvets in Denmark, making it easy to find bedding to fit our baby duvet. This is an optimal baby duvet size for a newborn and for a year or two to come.
The transition from a baby duvet to a junior duvet varies greatly from child to child, but many parents make the switch when their child is approximately 80–90 cm in length or between 1 and 2 years of age, ensuring there is enough room to tuck the duvet snugly around the child without toes poking out at the bottom or the upper body being left uncovered.
The matching pillow for the Nordic Sleep baby duvet measures 40 x 45 cm. It is therefore considerably smaller than pillows for adults, as it is tailored to the child's small head, ensuring he or she lies comfortably with gentle support for the head and neck. It is advised against letting infants sleep with a pillow before they reach 1 year of age. If you are unsure when to introduce a pillow for your child, you are welcome to seek guidance from a health visitor.

You may be thinking that you need two duvets for your baby – a baby duvet for summer and one for winter.
The weather can be unpredictable, and even though many homes today are well insulated and ventilated, temperature differences between summer and winter indoors are often noticeable. If, for example, your child's bedroom faces south with direct sunlight on the windows, it can become quite warm on mild summer days.

Maintaining the excellent properties of Nordic Sleep products is easy. Simply give your products a shake regularly to help them retain their volume.
Washing instructions: Machine wash at max. 60°C. Avoid using fabric softeners and enzyme‑based detergents when washing Nordic Sleep pillows and duvets, as they can impair the performance of the filling.
Drying instructions: Products can be air‑dried or tumble‑dried on a low heat (wool or silk programme). They cannot withstand high heat. Remove the products from the machine as soon as the drying cycle is finished. If you are unsure whether your machine can dry at a low temperature, it is better to let your pillow or duvet air‑dry instead.
The filling distributes evenly and does not clump, even after frequent washing.
