At Nordic Sleep by Fossflakes, we believe progress happens across several fronts. That’s why we combine regenerated polyester fibres with plant-based plastics derived from sugarcane.

More responsible materials – the same great sleep

Nordic Sleep by Fossflakes Balance supports a more balanced sleep environment thanks to our unique Fossflakes Bio filling, made with 52% plant-based fibres derived from sugarcane.

These are combined with 40% recycled polyester fibres, helping reduce the need for fossil-based raw materials in production.

This means you can enjoy a more responsible sleep experience—while still benefiting from the same qualities that define traditional Fossflakes filling: lightweight comfort, breathability, stability, and easy washing and drying.

But reducing the environmental footprint of the filling alone wasn’t enough for us—we also wanted the outer fabric to reflect the same ambition. After all, it’s what you rest your head on every night.

Organic comfort with peace of mind

That’s why we’ve upgraded the outer fabric to GOTS-certified organic cotton.

This certification ensures the cotton is grown without synthetic fertilisers and with only strictly controlled and limited pesticides.

GOTS certification also applies across the entire supply chain. This helps ensure safe and hygienic working conditions, regulated working hours, fair minimum wages, and confirms that no child labour is involved in production.
